Advancing Psychosocial resilience in the treatment of addiction and co-existing issues.  

 

iCAAD EVENTS in partnership with Uskudar University and C4 is honored to invite professionals and graduates to a unique learning experience, dealing with the ever growing social and emotional problems being created by addiction and the co-existing traumas that impact society. The morning presentations, delivered by leading Turkish and foreign experts, will form a knowledge base for the afternoon's unique interactive learning experience.

The afternoon practical workshop will see attendees breaking out to form multi-disciplinary teams who, under the guidance of a wide spectrum of experts, will design integrated treatment scenarios to respond to reality based case studies. The afternoon program is intended to be a hands on learning and implementation program to teach fully integrated responses to the pressing societal needs, in order to respond more effectively to addiction and co-existing trauma issues in all of its guises.

 

iCAAD travels across Europe, delivering conferences and training to Behavioural, Mental and Emotional Health Care professionals from across the world.

The uniqueness of our organisation is that we bring together professionals from many specialist sectors, at each event we have support workers, researchers, clinicians, nurses, and therapist joining up and talking with parents, civil servants, critical services, teachers, and many other professionals.

Bağımlılık ve Eş Zamanlı Gelişen Sorunların Tedavisinde Psikososyal Direncin Geliştirilmesi

 

iCAAD Events, Üsküdar Üniversitesi ve C4 Recovery, profesyonelleri ve mezunları, toplumdaki giderek artan  bağımlılık ve eş görülen travma temelli sosyal ve duygusal problemlerin ele alınacağı sıradışı bir öğrenme deneyimine davet ediyor. Önde gelen türk ve yabancı uzmanlar tarafından yapılacak sabah sunumları, sonraki interaktif öğrenme deneyimi için gerekli zemini hazırlayacak. 

Öğleden sonraki uygulamalı çalıştayda katılımcılar, farklı alanlardan uzmanların liderliğinde çok disiplinli takımlar oluşturacak ve gerçeğe dayalı vaka çalışmaları üzerine entegre tedavi senaryoları tasarlayacaklar. Öğleden sonraki programın amacı, bağımlılık ve eş görülen travmadan kaynaklı toplumsal ihtiyaçlara etkin bir şekilde yanıt verecek, tümüyle entegre bir programın uygulamasını yapmaktır.

A one-day conference.

iCAAD presents an interactive day of shared experience and knowledge. Engage in the discovery, training and problem solving within the treatment of trauma and addiction related issues in Turkey, focusing on its ever growing refugee population.

This conference will gather a carefully selected group of local and international speakers, who will explore:

  • The social context of the problem: What are the pressing needs, resources and specialised training needed on the ground?
  • Effective practices when working with clients within the refugee population and demonstrating outcomes. 
  • The current addiction treatment options for Turkish people and refugees.

 Advancing Psychosocial resilience in the treatment of addiction and co-existing issues.

This is a practical workshop, attendees will work in small groups with expert facilitators as part of a multi-disciplinary team, they will develop a care plan for a case study patient. The groups, supported by facilitators, will identify key issues that need to be prioritised for the patient, culminating in their presenting on the groups experience of working as a multi-disciplinary team.  Attendees will experience how to work in a challenged environment of different - languages, cultures, priorities, and skill sets and the necessity to manage these to deliver effective and realistic patient plans. 

Attendees will take away a Continuing Professional Development Certificate, handouts and resources including diagnostic tools and insight on how to create and deliver focused care plans. The workshop will be facilitated by a team of experts from the following disciplines:

  • Psychiatry
  • General Practice Clinicians
  • Social Work
  • Therapeutic Practice
  • Nursing  

Each expert will present an overview of their practice in working with individuals, families, and communities and the impact of behavioural mental and emotional health issues including:

  • Substance Addiction
  • Trauma reduction (crime experiences, general disaster, critical trauma, and physical and sexual experiences.)
  • Psychosocial issues (dis placement, Financial, langage, etc.)
  • Co-existing Behavioural Mental and Emotional health issues 

 

Multi-Disciplinary Workshop Attendees: This work shop will have a spectrum of professionals in attendance not exclusively but including:

  • Clinicians
  • Mental, Behavioural, Emotional Health (MBE) professionals 
  • Nurses
  • Support workers
  • Graduates/Students
